Windows 10: Family Settings

Hi


I have my stepson listed as a member in our family so we can control his screen time and he is down as a child/standard user on his pc and I'm down as the administrator


Is there anyway you can disable the pin entry setting for everytime he wants to install something as everytime he tries to install stuff he'll be mithering me to put my pin in, which I know is probably there to stop him installing anything dodgy


I know by making him an adminstrator this will overide this but I don't want to do this as then he can just create another user to get around the screen time, which he has done before

How to turn off Family safety settings

family safety settings.

Turn off family settings in Windows 10

• To turn off family settings for a child in your family, sign in at account.microsoft.com/family. Then choose one of these
  options:
  • Remove them from family settings by choosing Remove, then selecting their account, then selecting
    Remove again. They’ll still be able to sign in to their PCs, but this will remove any family limits that you set.
  • Or select them from the main family page, which will bring you to their Recent activity. If
    Activity reporting is turned On, turn it
    Off. Then repeat for the other settings pages (Web browsing, Apps, games & media, Screen time, Purchase & spending), making sure that those switches are turned
    Off.

How to delete an adult account in the Family Settings.

Hi,

To resolve your issue, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• As an adult in the family account, sign in with your Microsoft account.
• Under Your family, click
  Remove.
  
• Click the child account you want to remove, and click Remove.
• You will get an email confirmation once the child has been removed from the family.

Note: If you removed a Child account, it will be tagged as an "Orphaned account" and you will need to attach another "Parent account".
