Windows 10: Fan run constantly in WIN 10 - try not using Chrome browser

This problem just came up in the past few weeks


Tried all kinds of solutions found on the boards.


Until I saw DON'T USE Google Chrome


I didn't.


The problem stopped.


Download AVG secure browser which has 'hidden mode' if you want it, import all your Chrome settings and you're back to 'silent fan' mode.


Opera is another choice which doesn't kick the fan into overdrive.


To get to this I did however find this very useful deep analytic tool you can run anyway as it may find & fix other problems


Hit the Windows key with 'X' key


On the popup choose Windows Powershell (admin)


On the next page type or paste in SFC /SCANNOW


Let this diagnostic /repair tool do its job. Follow any instructions if there are any at the end.


Then in TWO SEPARATE operations copy /paste each of the following


DISM /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth


let this grind thru then paste this and run


DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth


restart the machine.


Go to C: drive, right click select disk clean up - then system cleanup


Run


Restart

Since Downloading Win 10 the cooling fan runs constantly

Since Downloading Win 10 the cooling fan runs constantly,it did not when I was using Win7.

Laptop very hot, fan constantly running since installing Win 10

I have a 4 year old Toshiba, Windows 7 laptop that I just upgraded to Windows 10. Since installing, the computer has run very hot and the fan runs nearly constantly. It was also running very slow, but after turning off nearly all of the visual effects, the
performance is extremely zippy. I have the power setting on high performance. Computer has Corei5 and 4 gb ram.

I didn't have this problem at all when it was running Win 7 last week. The fan seems to run almost constantly even with web browsing. Any tweaks or suggestions to cut some of the processing demands and get it running cooler again? If not, I'll be forced
to go back to my Win 7, which actually runs slower but cooler.

 

CPU Fan runs constantly

• Does the fan runs constantly fast or do you hear any noise?
• Have you tried updating all the drivers of your computer?
• Have you tried any troubleshooting steps before posting this concern? If yes, what are those?
• What is the memory/disk usage in task manager?
  
  You may check this by typing Task Manager in the search box
  and hit Enter. Check which application
  is taking more memory or disk usage.
