Windows 10: Favorites Bar not working

trying to use the Edge browser for the first time

well I tried to import stuff into my favorites bar it gives me the option to import from Google and I check it off then click import, it sat "done" as if it was successful, but it does NOT import anything, as a matter of fact I can't even add anything to in from the Edge browser itself.

This is why when it first came out I didn't want to use it because of the problems and why I only use Google Chrome for now.

Restore Windows 8.1 and Explorer 11 Favorites now I have Windows 10

I clicked on the 3 horizontal bars, then clicked the LEFT Favorites bar...not the right one. Then clicked on Internet Explorer, then a folder appeared .... Favorites Bar. Clicked that then import and they all showed but under a folder of Favorites Bar.
Tedious but worked!
