Windows 10: Feature Update 2004 fails with error code 0x8007001f

Hello,


My desktop PC currently on Windows 10 Pro 1909 fails when feature updating to version 2004 with an error code of 0x8007001f.


Steps taken to resolve this:

1. Ran the Windows 10 troubleshooter: it did not highlight any errors
2. Ensured that there is enough disk space: SSD has 56 GB free my CPU is Ryzen 3600 so should be sufficient
3. Ran the update via Windows update using clean mode and safe mode
4. Ran the update by downloading the update iso from microsoft site in clean and safe mode
5. Ensured that there are no devices attached to the system apart from keyboard and mouse
6. Ensured that there are no third party anti virus software or firewall active
7. Ensured that all drivers are at latest version and other windows updates are installed

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I followed the steps but I got the same error message as I got when I tried the suggestion of DaveM121 -- 0x8007001F-0x20006

The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during the REPLICATE_OC operation.

I can not update to windows creators (error code 0x8007001f)

Based on the logs you've provided, it seems that one of the possible cause why you cannot install Windows 10 Creators Update is your antivirus. In the meantime, we suggest disabling your antivirus, then try to install the update again.
