Windows 10: Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 - Error 0x8007007e

For the love of all that is holy, why oh why am I doing through this again and again. Like clock work every year its the same thing. Computer starts to act funny. I think to myself, "what is wrong now?"

Check HDD space.... 1/2 full.. Great!!! windows update is failing yet again. Over 40 times in the last 2 or 3 months.

Are you kidding me. I should not have to go through this annoying process of run this, disable that, and so on.

Why can they not get this right. I can not afford to down grade to another windows nor will my system work well with Vista.

I am tired of Microsoft's windows 10 and its high rate of failed updates.

About a half to 3/4 a year ago i had a problem with the start-up menu and the setting not working nor opening. i reported it and they wanted to do a remote access to figure it out. Two different tech supports tried and couldn't fix it and there is still programs on my pc that they used. I am not sure what i did, but i google till my fingers hurt but i finally fixed it myself.

at least so far the clean boot fixed he black screen every few minutes, but didn't help with the update.

This is not so much a question but a rant to relieve some stress!

CPU AMD fx-8390 Black edition

HDD 2tb with about 900gb full

Using the latest Windows 10 ISO file is the most succesfull method to install the Windows 10 1803 update. However, since you are having an error when using the solutions provided from the link that you provided, I would suggest that you try the steps in
the link that was provided by Sumit (Independent Advisor) in this

thread, and check if it helps.

Should you have further queries, feel free to post it.

My original error code on Windows 10 Update is Error 0x8007007e

Tried the suggested DISM with following errors

I keep getting the window to have security updates for Microsoft but every time I go to install it gives me the error code 0x8007007e and I cant find anything to help fix it. in my update history it keeps listing failed installations of 'update for windows
10 version 1607 for x64-based systems (KB4049411) - Error 0x8000ffff' or 'update for windows 10 version 1607 for x64-based systems (KB4033631) - Error 0x8000ffff' and 'feature update to windows 10, version 1709 - Error 0x8007007e

........please tell me how I can fix this. its incredibly frustrating.
