My Windows 10 failed to update and gave me this error - Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 - Error 0x800700d8.

I am posting this at 10:17am, 27 July 2019 and have restarted my W10 PC with the SAME percentage as you posted. I have now restarted for the 8th time and it is now moving past 60%. TO SAY THE LEAST, this is my 20th update and most of the time, I have
similar issues. I am reading now, after posting a GOOGLE search that users are suggesting that SKIP this as long as possible due to SLOWING PC's and other issues AFTER successful updates.

I simply WANT UPDATES to be: 1) SMALLER (few upgrades to features!!!) 2) FASTER (hopefully number one will help) . 3) MAKE MOST UPDATE ABOUT PRIVACY and SECURITY! 4) LET US CHOOSE feature upgrades (in other words, make Windows RUN NORMAL APPS
well just like Windows 7 did.

In fact, let's just revert to Windows 7 and make it work better and forget Windows 10. LET's regress to make the user "experiences" REALLY GREAT. COME ON MICROSOFT, you can DO IT!

I am wondering if anything else can be done to make this FINISH. I removed all SOFTWARE DISTRIBUTION files from Windows Download folders and then re-started. IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO.

I am on hour 6 now, on a Saturday where I would prefer to go have fun.
