Windows 10: Feature update to Windows 10, version 1909 2 Last failed install attempt on ‎2020-‎03-‎29...

I have tried several times to install update 1909. It always ends with my computer unresponsive. I have to power off the then on again, and any updates are rolled back. I checked all my drivers and none show a warning.


HP Desktop Pro 400 G4 MT Currently on Windows 10 Pro 1809


Please advise how I can resolve the update to 1909

Windows 10 feature update to version 1909

I have a PC (Dell XPS8900) running on Windows 10 version 1809 and I attempted to install version 1909, but it failed with message "Last failed install attempt on ‎08/‎01/‎2020 - 0xc1900101". I have checked that all the drivers are up to date, but it doesn't
offer the update to version 1909 any more responding with the message "You're up to date" so I cannot re-attempt the update process. The only connections now are the display, the mouse and the network. How can I progress?

Just did an update and at the end, found these messages:

Successfully installed 11/13/2019

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1909

Failed to install on 11/13/2019 – 0x60244022

So is the "fail" message number (0x60244022} a part of the update or just a code number for the failure of my first attempt? It is a bit confusing to me. I mean why does a failure need a number?
