    so I'm trying to update to 20h2 from 1607 on a fresh install and keep getting a failed install Error 0x80004005 . I've used the update troubleshooter, sfc, and restarted the update process. any help would be appreciated

    installation of Windows 20H2 has failed 0x80004005

    The installation of Windows 20H2 has failed (current version 1909). After downloading from Windows Update site and ran it, it produced an error code 0x80004005 and suggested to try again. But that also failed.
    The SetupDiagResults.log file shows the following error message
    Error: SetupDiag reports abrupt down-level failure.
    Last Operation: Finalize
    Error: 0x80004005 - 0x60016
    LogEntry: 2021-03-14 08:52:54, Error SP Operation failed: Update Boot Code. Error: 0x80004005[gle=0x000000b7]
    What does it mean and how can I succeed in installing the 20H2 version?
