Windows 10: Feedback hub causing RuntimeBroker.exe crashes since KB4495667 update in Windows 10 1809...

Since 2019, May 5, after the KB4495667 update, RuntimeBroker.exe has been continuously crashing, indicating a faulting package name of Microsoft.WindowsFeedbackHub. Another update on that day was a Windows Store update.


I am not sure which has caused the problem, if either of them at all. I am unable to uninstall KB4495667 at this point or revert the Windows Store to a previous version. So I'm just looking at when this started and what got installed on that day and looking for a point of failure.


Uninstalling and reinstalling the Feedback Hub does not help. Resetting the Feedback Hub does not help. The latest Windows Update I have received, KB4494441, does not resolve the issue.


For the time being, I have uninstalled Feedback Hub, and this has ended the hundreds of RuntimeBroker.exe crashes that show up in my Reliability History, about once every hour as if it is a scheduled task.


Is this a known issue?


The crashes do not affect system performance, cause any hangs, or prevent the Feedback Hub app from working. The store works perfectly. RuntimeBroker.exe manages all the other Modern apps without crashing. They just show up in Reliability History, and the faulting package name is always Feedback Hub.


Any help here?

2019-04 Cumulative Update KB4495667 stuck in restart to finish


My Pc runs Windows 10 Home 64 Bit v 1809

I noticed that Windows Update has had indigestion with the latest Cumulative Update (2019-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 v 1809 for x 64 bases systems KB4495667) which is stuck Requiring a restart to finish installing.

I have restarted several times with no luck.

Have also run the Trouble Shooter which could not identify the problem.

I then checked for updates in case it would offer it again, but all that was listed was 2019-02 Cumulative Update for NET Framework 3.5 and 4.7.2 KB4486553 which has Successfully installed.

KB4495667 still refusing to do so.





I have downloaded it from from the Windows Update Catalogue ... file windows10.0-kb4495667-x64_a0713c961b994da102ee4a300d2f571ec567af20.msu

What is the safest thing to do now, do I just double click to install it?

I am no computer expert so will need easy to follow steps.

Feedback hub slow to open

App loading issues are usually caused by slight conflicts within the system. We suggest that you reset the Feedback Hub app and check if it helps:

• Click on Start, and then Settings.
• Go to Apps.
• In Apps & features, look for Feedback Hub.
• Click on Feedback Hub, and then click on
  Advanced options.
• Click on Reset.
