    File and Data Loss


    Hello, recently I tried to move disk storage space from one disk to another using several programs, but nothing worked so I gave up. But for some reason I realized that my disc space was freeing up without me doin anything. I have Norton antivirus, but it said there are no viruses. I have turned off my computer until I can figure out what’s wrong, since I don’t want anything important getting deleted without a trace. If you could help me figure out what’s going on, then please share. Thank you

    No one can help you if you won't tell us what data was lost, where it was originally stored, and
    what steps you've taken so far to find it. Otherwise, you're hoping for a lucky guess.

    how to convert Dynamic disk to Basic disk without data loss ?

    Hi,

    The process of conversion is quite tricky but not exactly that complicated. Suggested safe is to have your data cloned and work on the clone instead of the original. This suggestions and steps were provided by one of the Microsoft Community Forum MVP's,
    John John__ in his response on this thread. Follow the steps carefully
    to be able to avoid data loss.
