Windows 10: File archive flag

I am running on Windows 10. Recently I've found that the file archive flag is set anytime I access a file - just reading the file. The last modify date isn't changed, just the archive bit. Obviously doing incremental backups picks up files that haven't been changed.

Archive and Flags

Every time I archive something my Archive is blank. It says not synced. I press refresh at the top and it just goes round and round. How do I sync my saved emails into the archive column? I've tried flagging too and that doesn't show up anywhere. Where
is it?

Where are all my flags that I saved when I had Windows 7? They all disappeared when I downloaded Windows 10....which I HATE.

 

Corrupted file RAR

If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:

• Open WinRAR application in your system.
• Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
• A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
• Now click Open button.
• Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
• Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
• Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
• Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
• WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.

Archived mails are missing in Windows 10 Mail App.

Hi John,

I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue.

Follow the Steps below and check.

Step 1: Check the sync settings in Mail app.

• Open Mail app and Hoover mouse point on top.
• Next to Search icon you can seen Sync this View.
• Click on the icon and let it Sync.
• Close and reopen Mail app and check Archived mails.

If issue persist follow next Step.

Step 2: Run the Windows App Troubleshooter.
