  1. File Explorer Crashes and Critical Error on Windows Start Menu

    Help!

File Explorer will not open - constantly crashes

Windows Start Menu will not open - Critical Error Message stating it will try to fix next time I sign in but this does not work. Have tried safe mode - no luck, removing battery from laptop, uninstalled Dropbox, unable to create a new user profile as unable to access file explorer as above either.

More rubbish out there on help threads than I can poke a stick at!

    Please help

    Andrea

    :)

    Critical Error on Start Menu

    Hi Kimberly,

Sorry to know that Start menu keeps asking for a password and gives an error.

Do not worry, it can be fixed.

It could be due to third part security software or missing/corrupt files or missing updates.

I suggest you to try the steps provided by PaulSey replied on August 21, 2015, in the link below.
