  1. File Explorer does not allow "." to be used in file name

I have just upgraded to the latest version of Windows 10 Pro (I can't find the build number) and when I try to name files with a format such as "firstpart.lastpart" it removes the ".lastpart" from the file name. This has always worked in the past and I have built a naming convention around this which I have used for many different files already. I really don't want to have to change the naming convention.

Does anyone have any ideas of what could cause this?

    Thanks

    :)

you get the idea. ( too lazy to put it in a for loop and test it.

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

  3. Win10 File Explorer will not allow naming a new folder

Just downloaded Windows 10. In File Explorer I tried to create a new folder, but could not enter a name. The box closed and reverted to New Folder. Tried Rename, but box closed after entering first letter. Also in list of folders, keeps auto scrolling to
    top.

  4. File Explorer does not allow "." to be used in file name

Clear the 'cache' in file explorer for already used picture tags?

If you set some tags for your *.jpg pictures, the windows 10 file explorer shows them in the "details pane" on the right side.

This list can get very long and with some wrong or no longer used entries.
How can I clear this list / cache / suggestions?

Or how can I stop the file explorer to suggests already used Tags?
