Windows 10: File Explorer Glitch!

    File Explorer Glitch!


    When will the issue be fixed with File Explorer that prevents me from selecting Multiple files to be moved? It is extremely frustrating, and time consuming. I would like to believe that this was not done intentionally, such a move sets this application back more then 10 years. Surely there is something that I can do to correct this Disability now. Please let me know. I really need a system I can rely on to be efficient, not crippled.

    Hello,

    Let us isolate your concern by answering the questions below:

    • Have you made any changes to the computer software prior to this?
    • Have you tried to select a different file outside the File Explorer window to check if the issue persists?
    In the meantime, we suggest that you perform a clean boot and check if the issue persists. If performing a clean
    boot     on your device resolves your concern, it means that a third party software is causing the issue. We suggest that you uninstall or disable them. The steps on how to perform a clean
    boot     are provided on this link.

    File explorer icon from taskbar dissappears while working on it

    Hi,

    To assist you with your concern, we suggest you pin the File Explorer from the Start Menu by following these steps:

    • Click the Start Menu.
    • Right-click File Explorer.
    • Choose Pin to taskbar.

    "This file can't be previewed" problem in explorer

    For us to provide an accurate resolution, kindly elaborate the issue by answering the questions listed below:

    • Since when have you been experiencing this issue?
    • Were there any changes on your PC before this happened like software or updates installed?

    For initial troubleshooting, we suggest that you follow the steps listed below:

    • Open File Explorer.
    • Access this link

      C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
    • Delete all the files.
    • After deleting the files kindly try and see if there's a thumbnail preview of your files.
