Windows 10: File Explorer Glitching

This has been going on for quite a while, but I'm finally frustrated enough to look for a solution. I'm trying to go through and delete files that I no longer need. Every time I scroll through the files on File Explorer, it keeps snapping back to an earlier file, making it impossible to complete this task. For instance, I'm working alphabetically through the files, and I'm at the "B" files and when I try to make my way down to "C" or later, it snaps back to the B files. If I try to click on a file, it mistakenly selects one of the earlier files in the folder. This happens even if I'm trying to view files that begin with a letter "later in the alphabet", like the letter "R". It snaps me back to to the earlier alphabetical folders, making it difficult to locate the file that I'm looking for. Anyone know of a fix for this?

"This file can't be previewed" problem in explorer
