Windows 10: File Explorer Navigation Menu Icons

Discus and support File Explorer Navigation Menu Icons in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; I am totally baffled, new install upgrade from Win7 and I cannot understand why the folder icons are kind of incomplete - anyone any ideas ??? 22884 Discussion in 'Windows 10 Support' started by cr355, Sep 16, 2015.

    I am totally baffled, new install upgrade from Win7 and I cannot understand why the folder icons are kind of incomplete - anyone any ideas ???

    Where are the blank icons located? If they are in Start > Programs, open File Explorer and navigate to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs. Select and delete the icons.

    New Applications did not save to my games folder...

    Assuming the icon is in the Start menu, open File Explorer and navigate to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs. Tap and hold on the icon and select Cut from the context menu and go to \Programs\Games folder and paste the icon there.

    Check to see if you somehow got into Tablet Mode.

    Settings, System, Tablet Mode.

    Hi and thanks for the reply, no it is switched off I'm afraid - though I had a quick fix there ! I wonder if Windows 10 has inherited theme settings from Windows 7 ? surely it isn't that dumb . . . .
