Windows 10: File Explorer Right Click Folders are STUCK

Hi. First time posting here so forgive me if I'm doing something wrong.

I have an issue for a while now, when I right click on file explorer, the 'recent' folders are stuck and I can't pin/unpin, open or delete any of the suggested folders. It's simply frozen. I tried deleting stuff in \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent. I tried ticking/unticking 'show recently used files in quick access' . Nothing worked. This happened while I was using an extrenal HDD and it got unplugged by accident. So everything froze in the suggested folders. Can you help?

Window 10 file explorer stuck

Thanks on your help

I try all three suggestion but unfortunately the problem remain.

It is look the explorer stuck when I right clicking on file letter or try to past file.

Some details on the steps:

Step 1: When the Task manager is open no Window Explorer task exist. Clicking on File Explorer under Start menu window, bring Window Explorer task. Than I End the task using task manager and reopen the task by Run New Task in the task manger. The Window
Explorer task is appeared in the Task manger and on the screen window. Right clicking on the disk letter the Explorer was stuck again.

Step 2: I run the checkdisk on disk C (contains the Window) without /f and get report all is OK

Step 3: I run the Memory diagnostic. After long waiting time a report OK is received.

Any other suggestion will be appreciate

File Explorer, Right click not responsive

• Open File Explorer and click the View tab.
• Click Options, and select Change folders and search options. The
  Folder Options window should pop up.
• Click View tab and check mark “Always show icons, never thumbnails.”
  
  
• Click Apply and click Yes, when it asks, “Do you want all folders of this type to match this folder’s view settings?”
• Click OK to close the Folder Options window and you may now use your File Explorer.

Files remain in original folder after moving them to new folder in file explorer

Folder Options. This will reboot the folder’s preferences to its default state and remove any possible software conflict. To do this, you may follow these steps:

• Click Start, type File Explorer, and press
  Enter.
• On the File Explorer window, click the View tab > Options > Change folder and search options > View.
• Under the Folder views section, click Reset Folders, and then select
  Yes to confirm.
• Once you’re done, click OK, and then check if the issue persists.

Note: This process will remove the list of files that you recently opened.
