    File Explorer scroll bar jumps to top of folder - been happening for years. Please fix!!


    Scroll bar keeps jumping to top of folder files. When opening a folder in file explorer my scroll bar will not hold or stay anywhere below the top position. It automatically jumps to the very top of files. This has been happening for years now - even when I got a new computer. I have also seen that someone posted this issue in 2015 and there was no solution. I can't even clean up my files because I can't get past the the letter "C" - it scrolls back up to "A"! I subscribe to 365 so this should be a priority to fix since this is an ongoing issue. I have been hoping that one of these automatic updates would fix the issue. This is very frustrating.

    Scroll bar keeps resetting in Windows File Explorer.

    For some reason, when I'm browsing a long list of files, if I stop moving my scroll wheel for a few seconds, the scroll bar in the file explorer jumps back up to the very top. Which is annoying when I'm browsing a folder that has hundreds of files in it.
    This only happens in the file explorer. Any suggestions?

    Hi Shawn.

    Can you help with file explorer scroll bar that keep on jumping to the top. I actually knew it since few builds back. I thought it's already resolved. That was why, last week when I got an offer of free upgrade on my samsung ativ running win 8.1n didn't think much, just hit the button and upgraded to Win 10. Later I found my file list on the explorer keep jumping to the top just like the previous trial I have in other PC.
    Can you help me with that? (I already sent feed back to MS through Windows Feedback app)

    Scroll bar jumping to top

    I'm having an issue regarding the scroll bar automatically jumping to the top of the folder I'm in.

    When I right click and set a desktop background, for example, the scroll bar jumps to the top of the folder. It won't stay put. Meaning I have to scroll all the way back down each time.

    I'm sure it's a simple fix, and I'm just missing something?
