    File Picker UI Host hangs in Office 365


    Using Dell XPS 9550 with Windows 10 Pro 20H2, Office 365.


    When trying to open or save documents in OneDrive, the File Picker stops responding. Task Manager cannot close the unresponsive program. The only way to stop the unresponsive program is to reboot the computer.


    I ran DISM and System File Checker https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files-79aa86cb-ca52-166a-92a3-966e85d4094e but these neither indicated a problem nor helped. I have reinstalled Office 365 after trying the repair function.

    File Picker UI Host is not responding

    File picker UI HOst is not responding error code

    I use outlook and drop box and can't attach or upload a simple word file.

    Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

    whenever i try to save a file or post it somewhere, the window for that just freezes. It's called the File Picker UI Host in Task Manager.
