Windows 10: File Sharing in Windows 10

Hey, I'm having some issues with File Sharing over a network now.

I have 2 computers: a desktop with Windows 10 Pro, a Laptop with W10Home, both logged in with the same Windows account. I was able to get a File Share up and running on my laptop, which can be accessed by any Windows device, provided it has the login credentials of my email and password.

Now I want to get my desktop's files online as well, so I tried to use "Give access to", with the only user being my normal Windows credentials. The problem now, is that no matter what i try, my email/password is incorrect. I tried with both my PIN, and my email password, but to no avail. However, I can access the files on my laptop with the same credentials. Can anyone provide some help? Sorry for the wall of text, Thank you!

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Set Up File Sharing on a Windows 10 PC

Hi Brink great tutorial as usual.

I could not help but notice in step 1 you say to enable " Function Discovery Resource Publication "

In most of the posts I have read on Ten Forums they also suggest to enable " Function Discovery Provider Host "

Are you suggesting that Function Discovery Provider Host is not necessary.
