Windows 10: File system error (-2147219196) in Photos app

Every time I launch the app it crashes and when I try to open a pic it always gives me this error. I've found nothing about it on google, just other people with the same problem as me. Is there any way to fix this?

You'll want to look at "Step 4: Uninstall Photos, Remove Leftover Files and Reinstall".

(when you're at the psexec part, you might receive an error about access being denied to some of the files in the photos app folder (happened to me), just ignore them and continue untill the end of STEP
4).

When i first removed and reinstalled the photos app, it downloaded less than 100mb of data, and installed it.

With the steps, described in the above link, it downloaded over 300mb of data!

After install, the photos app is (for now) behaving as normal.

I'll keep you informed, should the problem return!

 

how to fix file system error (-2147219196)

I just did the .reg from the tutorial, and I now get this in Default Apps as a choice. You may want to re-visit what you did in the tutorial.
