Windows 10: File transfer window hangs at 99 % when copying files

I did a reinstall of windows and I was copying my music over from my external backup hard drive to my computer and it was almost done copying when the green bar in the file explorer and the green progress bar hung at 99 %.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

I am currently running hps memory diagnostic tool located in the diagnostic.

You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one

@samd : There are other utilities available in windows for copying files such as xcopy and robocopy.
You may want to look into them if you are regularly doing file copies (ie. backups).
