Windows 10: Files and apps lost or scattered after restoring backup due to change of Hard Drive

Hello,


My Hard Drive was replaced by Dell and I made a backup. After restoring the backup data, my file is scattered or lost. I do not find my Microsoft Office apps. They are not appearing in the search bar. I had to install the browser and other apps again. A lot of my data cannot be found and my settings have also changed. Everything has become confusing and I don't understand how to find my file.


Can any help me with it? I did create a System Image while making the backup.

Free hard drive backup/restore program?

I am looking for a free (freeware) program that will back up and restore a hard drive. I'm looking to clone a few external hard drives. If the program will backup the used space instead of the whole drive this will be awesome! Thanks for any suggestions.

Obviously you're looking for something besides your Xp Pro utility that does this?

 

Restoring a backup

I lost all my data on my iPAQ2210 due to the battery going flat. I have an old backup made before I re-installed all my programs etc onto a new hard drive. The backup file has been moved to the right directory (I hope) but Active Sync tells me it is an old
version and it cannot restore. Clicking on the suggested help button doesn't work.



Any ideas how to restore the data?
