Windows 10: FIles e.g., edb and Windows.jfm

When I manually copy my files to another external drive, I always encounter, “Could not find this item”, I just click on Skip.


The following it is not able to find are:


a windows.edb

b edbtemp

c edb

d edb0094A

e edb009A5

f edb009A6

g Windows.jfm


They are supposed to be XPS documents.


Am not worried of virus or malware or anything of that sort. As I know I created some kind of routine before. Is there a way to make the “Could not find this item” permanently stop from appearing each time I copy my files.

How to delete backup files from File History in Windows 10

Copy the following path and paste it in the File Explorer address bar:

%localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\FileHistory\Configuration

The following files would be present in that folder:

Catalog1.edb

Catalog1.jfm

Catalog2.edb

Catalog2.jfm

Config1.xml

Config2.xml

Clear them all, or just rename the "Configuration" folder.

Reconfigure File History.

 

WINDOWS 10 EDB FILE KEEPS INCREASING

Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open .edb file

EDB files are used for faster searches on your Windows 10 device. It works like caches on a browser. May we ask if the EDB file size are increasing? It can can be a different issue if that is what is happening.
