    Files Gone After Flash Drive Ejected Win10


    Hello, I'm on Windows 10 pro v2004 I Safely Removed a flash drive after moving some folders and files but the files deleted after reinserting the flash drive. So for example I move a folder called folder1 on the root of the flash drive and in that folder I have a .mp4. I use the safe eject option on Windows and take out the flash drive but once I put that flash drive back in the mp4 is gone but the folder is still there. I have a few different folders with videos in them but a few still have the mp4s. Most mp4s are missing but there are a few that are still there. If I right-click one of the folders in the flash drive that had the missing MP4 and select properties it says there are zero bytes in the folder so it appears the mp4 is gone. The filesystem type of the flash drive is an exfat it is a jing USB 2.0 and is 1TB. I have used the error check tool under properties for the flash drive but can't seem to find any issues. At this point, I'm a bit stumped so any help would be appreciated.

    I often open files on a flash drive for printing. When I am finished printing, unless I eject the drive, each time I open an app and a file on another drive, I get a message that the flash drive cannot be found. If I opened 5 files for printing and don't
    eject the flash drive I get 5 messages, 1 for each, that the drive cannot be found..

    Is there a setting to automatically eject the flash drive when I am finished?
