Windows 10: Files I didn't open showing up on my Recents list in Windows Explorer

Files I didn't open show up on my recently opened list every time I enter the explorer. I changed my password and the problem is still there. I also deleted OneDrive from my computer but the problem is still there as if I still have OneDrive installed. I hope that this is a bug and that my account is not hacked. I saw lots of questions about this topic over the last month so maybe there is some issue with the system. Please help us.

you get the idea. ( too lazy to put it in a for loop and test it.

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

that's all off already dude lol, I'm really surprised there is no fix for the recent files list/MRU in the file menu of programs haha

I appreciate the help, MS really needs to implement a Group Policy or a string that can do that for all programs installed

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
