Windows 10: Files not updating

At work, I use an ERP system, connected to an Access database. We ocasionally get updates from the developer.

What I do, is take the 15 files he sends me ( .mde and .mdw) and copy them to the program folder. Nothing fancy.

When I log on again, I should get a "first time" use notification, since I have new program files. I alrrady had written a small .bat file so everyone can copy files from the server to their individual machines. Well, this worked fine when we were all usin Windows 7.

Recently, we bought a new laptop with Windows10. Everything runs fine, until we needed to update the ERP program files. Batch file runs fine, files are copied (I know fron the newer file date). However, whem you run the ERP, you don't the "first time" notification and even your username is cached. New features are not avaiable.

I've tried deleting the original files, then putting the new ones, but to no avail. It feels like the new files are there, but somehow the old ones are somewhere else and being called.

Any idea?

EMUI

Here's the steps to update EMUI 4.1.1 to 5.0 :

• Download the EMUI 5.0(desired version) .zip file, and unzip it.
• Place the .hwt file in the HWThemes folder from your phone.
• Using the Themes app, apply the new theme.
• Restart the phone, in order to see all the new changes.

And you’re done!

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Extracting Zip Files


Are the step-by-step processes identical? That is, the folder extracted from and the folder extracted to belong to the same hierarchical file system structure. If they are, that suggests mildly the Cumulative Update left an electron or two out of place.
