Windows 10: finding files

I can't find files on Windows 10. I used to be able to but I am lost now with MS persistence to make every new windows version more complex and less user friendly!

I looked for answers and followed the steps:

1. Opened file explorer which look NOTHING like the screenshots you show on your answers;

2. typed 'date modified' in the search box and NO calendar appeared.


If you intend to sell windows and office to people at a certain level of computer knowledge and above, please say so in order for people like me to find other systems. But if you want to sell for all, then please give me a simple and direct answer with the screenshots that I will see, does not require use of programming abilities etc.

How can I find files by creation, modification, date, time, size, words inside etc..???

Unable to find PDF files.

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Go to Search and type the Adobe files and open those files.
• Then go to the location where those files have been saved.

Cannot find Desktop Icon in File Explorer


My Desktop is showing icons as normal. But if I try to find what is on my desktop by using file manager, I cannot find the icon. I also checked under C;\user my name, public, default and no desktop listed on any of them. Any suggestions?
