Windows 10: Finding username DWM-1 on the task manager

    Finding username DWM-1 on the task manager

    I was trying to figure more about this, There seems to be few threads relating back to this on windows 8 . I understand Dwm.exe is used by windows for rendering purpose of the windows manager. However, my question is more related to why the user name is different named as DWM-1. I would like to know why this is the case here. It seems weird as in other few thread, it stated that about anonymous user.

    Thanks for the info ...

    If this is the case why it only effecting 1 machine not all of them?

    It also doesn't require the Admin username and password the standard user details work.

    Task Bar, Task manager and apps, all not responding, Windows 10

    step 1 worked a dream. Had earlier tried everything suggested in these forums. nothing had worked to solve the problem. The media creation tool as suggested in step 1 did the trick. - it took several hours, but worth it.

    ps. original complaint - non responding - and task manager - blank or useless.
