Windows 10: Firewall blocked my wifi network.

I installed Utorrent web on my windows 10 laptop for downloading some torrent stuff. The next day when I boot my PC a windows firewall setting popped up showing uttorent web app and asking for permission to make the connection secure like saying the wifi in airports, coffeshop is not secure. I don't remember what it is exactly showing and I didn't read it too, I simply placed a tick on that and granted permission.


From then on I am not able to connect my wifi network it shows can't connect to the network.

I tried so many methods to resolve it like resetting network adapters, cmd method etc. But no luck.


I think the firewall setting is only responsible for it.

Please sort it out.

Windows Firewall blocks App Store from downloading new apps

Hi,

Let's try to check if the app store you're referring to if it's really blocked by Windows Firewall. See these steps:

• Open Windows Firewall from the taskbar >
  Firewall & network protection > Allow an app through firewall.
• A new window will show up containing the list of the apps that ca be allowed through Firewall.
• Look for the app you want to be accessed, and make sure that the Domain, Private and Public are ticked. That would allow the app store to be accessed.

Let us know what happens after doing the suggestion.

 

FIREWALL IS BLOCKING CERTAIN PROGRAMS

One of the most common problems when using a network firewall is that it sometimes blocks network traffic that you want to allow.

Please follow the below step to troubleshoot with the issue:

• Open the “Control Panel“.
• Select “System and Security.
• In the Windows Firewall section, select “Allow a program through Windows Firewall“.
• Unchecking the box to the left of the application name disallows it from accessing network resources, while checking it allows access.
• If the program you wish to block or unblock is not listed, you can click the “Allow another program…” button to add it. Choose the application in the list and select “Add“. If the program is not in this list, use the “Browse…”
  button to select the program file manually.

Network Shares blocked by firewall

I understand that you are facing issues with Network Sharing being blocked by the Firewall. I would suggest you to check and confirm if the SMB 1.0 CIFS File Sharing feature is enabled in the system that is facing this issue. You
can follow the steps below.

Steps to enable SMB 1.0 CIFS File Sharing Support:

1. Press the Windows and
   R key together, this will open the Run dialogue box for you.
   
2. Type appwiz.cpl and press enter, this will open the
   Programs and Features window for you.
   
3. Click on Turn Windows features on or off in the left pane.
   
4. In the Windows Features window, scroll down and under
   SMB 1.0 CIFS File Sharing Support, check the boxes next to
   SMB 1.0/CIFS Client and SMB 1.0/ CIFS Server. If the boxes are already ticked, please uncheck the box and check it again.
   
5. You will be prompted to restart your Computer, kindly restart the system and check if the issue still persists.
