Windows 10: Firewall Disabled Bug?

    Firewall Disabled Bug?


    I solved this! I checked the Group Policy and all items were set to Not Configured. I then went through all of the Defender and Firewall settings concerned with Notifications, set them to Disabled then set them back to Not Configured. Why this worked I don't know. Would the commands by TairikuOkami in Post 11 have done the same thing?

    For the record, these fixes didn't work:

    • Running the Kaspersky full uninstaller and also installing the removing Kaspersky Total Security ( I had this installed until last week)
    • Running the Firewall re-installation commands I mentioned in Post 12

    You may have manually set a policy via Registry Editor, and toggling the policy in Local Group Policy Editor cleared it in the registry.
