    Firmware interruption


    Today I was updating my computer it was a firmware update and the update got interrupted. When the pc booted up it started with a long beep follow by a short beep and did it twice, so long beep, short beep, short pause, long beep, short beep. When I looked up the problem there was no direct answers, but the most likely was a bios failure. Unfortunately my monitor is not getting any display from the actual pc so I couldn’t hold f2 and do a roll back. I only have a basic knowledge of computers so these are all the know specs. Acer Nitro 50 Gaming PC Ryzen R5-5600G/1TB HDD/512GB SSD/16GB RAM/RTX

    Help with Hardware Interrupts

    To use Krview, ignore any driver that is part of Windows or that is for the CPU idle thread.
    inteppm is for the CPU idle thread, ignore it.
    hal and ntkrnlpa are part of Windows, ignore them.
    ati2mtag is the first one on the list that is elevated and relevant.
    Find out what hardware interrupt it uses and then any device that shares this interrupt could be the problem. It might not be ati2mtag.
    If its the video driver, can you use another card?
    Putting the computer to sleep might reset things.

    How can I disable a particular interrupt in Windows 10?

    It seems to be caused by the SSD disk installed instead of an optical drive, in the relevant questions about Linux the suggested solution is like:
