Windows 10 install error 0x80070004 - 0x3000D

Tried installing windows 10 Pro and got this error message after it got about 35% on the installing page 0x80070004 - 0x3000D migrate_data. I'm upgrading from windows 8.1.

Anyone else had this?

I'm currently attempting to do an in-place upgrade from Windows 7 Home x64 to Windows 10 Home x64. However I keep running into the same error. "The installation failed first boot_phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation" and returns an error code
0x80070004 – 0x3000D. I've checked the knowledge base both here and various other forums, and it appears to be a profile related issue. My main profile folder is located on a different drive than my system drive as it's too big for my SSD boot drive. I read
that that this could cause an issue, so I created a dummy folder on my system drive and redirected the path back in the registry. The upgrade still fails. I've tried analysing the log files, but I can't make head nor tail of them. Can someone help me make
sense of them?

I am on build WIN10 10240. I have tried all ways of getting the latest build, 10586 on to my laptop using all the suggestions shown. Each time, I seem to get different error codes. The latest one I got was ''The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase
with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation, with error code 0x8007002C-0x3000D.

Any ideas?
