I suggest you to try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps:

Step 1: Perform SFC scan and DISM to fix the issue with corrupted or missing files.

Steps:

• Press ‘Windows + X’ Keys on the keyboard.
• Click on ‘Command Prompt (Admin)’ to bring up an elevated command prompt.
  
  Note: Click ‘Yes’ if it prompts for permission.
• In the command prompt type in the following commands one by one and then press
  Enter.

• DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
• DISM.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
• sfc /scannow

Note: If you are not able to repair some files after performing SFC scan, I suggest you to refer to the point 3 “Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to
fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log”. Under the section “Run the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe)” to repair the corrupted files after performing SFC scan.

Step 2: I suggest you to run the
Windows Store Apps troubleshooter.

Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter,
troubleshoots problems that may prevent Windows Store Apps from working correctly.

Follow the below steps:

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar on the Taskbar.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Windows Store Apps.
• Select “Advance” and click on “Run as Administrator”.
• Click “Next” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

windows 10 update err: 0x80070005

when update windows 10 this morning:

• Security Update for Lync 2010 X64 (KB3075593).

and Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3081436).

after both update downloaded and installed, i was asked to re-boot my laptop. but i have got this err message:

We're having trouble restarting to finish the install. Try again in a little while. If you keep seeing this, try searching the web or contacting support for help. This error code might help: (0x80070005)

so after searching the website, and tried few suggestions, still unable to restart. at the moment, i cannot proceed any update nor i can re-boot the pc. but i can shutdown, and boot. however, the err msg
is still there.

i have tried to follow some of the suggestions from few websites. but no of them fix this problem. I remember in windows 7 system, Microsoft has a tool to fix such kind of err. but in this new windows
10, where is the tool for fixing such kind of err?

hope someone or Microsoft can come with a good solution.

Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.
