  2. File Error 16389/0xc000012f

These two errors popped up simultaneously

File Error 16389 occurs when i attempt to run any non-Chrome executable (including edge) and just instantly crashes what i was trying to run

0xc000012f occurs when i try to do anything with the system. Whether it be Wi-fi to attempting a clean re-install, it always stops me

Is there any way to fix either of these? Preferable FE 16389

    Thanks-Dom

Windows 10 will not activate Error code 0x803F7001

Possibly there can be the problem with Microsoft activation Server, so your Windows 10 is not activated. In this scenario, you need to wait and verify if it is the issue from Microsoft’s side. But if you are getting error code 0x803f7001, you can also try these steps:

    1. Open Settings app. Then go to Update and security > Activation screen > Change product.
    2. Type your Windows edition product key and click Next.
    3. You’ll get We couldn’t activate Windows error message.
    4. Retry steps 1-3 then type your 25-characters unique product key.
    5. Wait for the process to complete, Windows 10 is activated.
    Hope something helps this problem

  4. Fix Error Code 0x4005(16389) when upgrading Windows

    Error 16389 with almost EVERYTHING

    Hello experts,

I would really appreciate your help in resolving this. My system did an automatic Window update on July 14th, and since then I cannot open any folder on my computer, install/uninstall, run as admin, pull up task manager. The screen either flash then do
nothing, or simply say "File system error 16389".

I tried to "Uninstall Updates" in the Updates History in the Setting section, but it says "Window cannot find (a string of numbers)"

I tried "check for new updates", and my system is up-to-date.

I tried to pull the Command Prompt as admin to run "sfc /scannow", but right after "run as admin", the 16389 error pop-up.

I tried restarting many times and the same problems happen.

Is there anything else I can try? It seems any setting related to the system is trapped by this 16389 error. Please help!

    Thank you!
