    There are many fixes available for this problem, but most of them fail because:1. The "Start" process is not listed in Task Manager part of the problem2. Winkey doesn't work - most likely for the same reason.3. The "TaskView" icon hangs most things up after first use.4. Apps you do manage to run do not appear on the taskbar so cannot be recalled.The answer, at least in my case, was to click "End Process" in TaskManager on the "LocalSecurityAuthorityProcess", followed by the mandatory reboot.Many suggested ways of running TaskManager include:Right click on the taskbar and Ctrl-Alt-Delete.I wo

    Start Button displaying but not working


    The start button was working until there was a forced reboot (power failure). Then left click (normal click) over the start button does absolutely nothing. Right click brings up a menu but "programs" and also "settings" are missing and not included on this list. Search or Task View buttons do not work either with "normal" click. Does anyone have any suggestion or fixes?
