Windows 10: Fix You've been signed in with a temporary profile in Windows 10

Did your account work properly when you were using the new Nathaniel.DESKTOP profile?

If so, you could set the registry to use it again.

 

No, for some reason it doesn't work for ether.

 

As a test, create a new account in Windows 10 to see if it works properly.

If it does, then you could make it an administrator type, and use it instead.

It won't let me make another account but, this is what it looks like.

It does nothing, it clicks but, it does do anything.

 

Are you able to create an account via command prompt?

 

Yes, it just worked. I can't sign in with it tho.

Hi Brink! Great site. Today I've experienced the same problem - when I restarted my computer and loaded into windows and entered my password it signed me into some weird looking temp profile. Fortunately it was an easy fix - I simply signed out and signed back on and it put me in my normal profile. Does that mean the problem is fixed? Do I have to do anything to prevent this from happening again? It was really kind of strange, just happened out of the blue
