Windows 10: Fixing my Microsoft accounts

My main goal is to have and use one Windows Microsoft account with all the services and apps I've paid for and want to continue to pay for.

This has been driving me insane the past week as I search forums and tried to learn what can be transferred when. I'm so genuinely sick of this. I currently have 2 emails that are each associated with a Microsoft account. Email1 is an older email that I've been trying to slowly retire since I no longer use it. Email2 is my adult and professional email. Email1 has my Xbox account that I want to keep and use for the Microsoft store and Xbox game pass. Email2 is the actual email I use day to day and has my Win10 License attached to it. I know there is no official "merge" feature in Windows right now but there has to be a good solution.


I am hoping someone could help me clear my clouded thoughts and help me figure out how to fix this. I don't care if the old email is no longer associated with a Microsoft account, I just want to make sure I keep my Xbox Live Username and Achievements.

If I can make my email2 account an alias of the email1 account maybe by making an Email3 and making it the primary email for the Email2 account which would free up the professional Email2 so I can make Email2 the primary email of email account 1. This would allow me to sign in with my professional email address and retire the old email while still having my Old School Xbox Profile....

But then the Windows License key....

I'm not sure. I'm so confused. I literally have a white board in my office dedicated to this like a mad man. Someone please help. All the Microsoft rules and stuff..

Remove account


I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

   net user test /del

 

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

 

Cannot link/add my Microsoft Account to Local Account

Im using Win10 Build 1607 with all latest update.

I also run all related troubleshooters:

• Windows Update
• Store Apps (says i have to login in my microsoft account but thats the problem, i can't)
• Microsoft Accounts

No Problem found. Also the suggestions from Microsoft didnt helped.
