Windows 10: Flash Drive Errors "Please insert a disk into USB Drive D:" and has no media

I have a 1 TB flash drive that I've been storing a lot of files on recently. I had an issue with a game where the update was wayyy slow so I thought that moving the game into the flash drive might help. Ever since then the flash drive says "no media" and doesnt let me open itthe error that was previously specified shows up as well.

Generally with USB flash drives, when you get the 'Please Insert Disk' or 'Disk is write protected' error, the drive is faulty and cannot be fixed, sorry!

A lot of users use flash drives to store data, they really are only for moving data from one system to another as they can work for years or become faulty after very little use . . .

Hi Tracy, is your D drive a DVD drive or a USB Flash drive and when you get this error is there a either a DVD or flash drive inserted at that time?

i updated my computer and updated windows as the hardware troubleshooter suggested and that did not work

i tried diskpart and tried going through disk management as admin it does let me pick to change as the above pics show and i have windows 10 64 bit the usb is a monster digital 16gb usb
