Windows 10: Flashing screen after login

Having an issue with one of my monitors constantly flashing on and off after I login to Windows. The flashing only starts when I log in.

Before it started happening, I went into my BIOS to check if AMD Virtualization was enabled. No settings in the BIOS were changed when I returned to Windows.

The only new applications I had installed prior to this happening were VMWare and VirtualBox. I have removed both programs, updated my GPU drivers and even did a System Restore to yesterday but it hasn't fixed the issue.

Does anyone know what is going on here? Has VMWare or VirtualBox caused this?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

Lock vs Login screen screenshot

Hi Josey -

Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!

 

Login Screen Constantly Flashing

The screen keeps flickering between the date and login screen so I'm unable to click on the power button on the bottom right (in step 1).

However, I was able to launch safe mode in the automatic repair mode you've suggested previously. Once I log in with safe mode, I get the same system restore error message with some of my apps/files flashing back and forth on my desktop. I've attached a video
below to show what I'm seeing in safe mode.

This issue is super frustrating but I really appreciate your help!
