    Flight Sim 2020 Code: 0x80073CF9 Error when trying to install


    Same as many of the others... spent 80 dollars and for what? Cannot install my game. I have tried clearing space on my C: Drive, installed a new 512GB SSD, plus have a 4 TB USB 3.0 H/D and 2TB SSD that came with my Cyber Power Gaming PC.


    Same error- Code: 0x80073CF9.


    I have never been this frustrated and I work with 20000 Microsoft clients in my job


    I case you are wondering about my Microsoft credentials... MCSA Windows 10, MCSE Mobile Devices, multiple MCPs


    What really takes the cake is that it actually started to install on my old Dell PC which the specs are quite a bit lower than recommended, but at least it let me choose a drive with at least 127 GB of space and opened the content manager and tried to download some of the content. I stopped it because it was going so slow.


    By the way, my internet speed,, 640 MB through FIOS.

    Error code 0x80073CF9 when installing apps from the Windows Store

    I'm receiving the following error when trying to install apps from the Windows Store on Windows 10. It doesn't occur with every program, which makes it extremely frustrating to debug. The Event Viewer is no help, as it provides the same cryptic messages:


    • Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070490: Gears of War 4.
    • Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80073CF9: Gears of War 4.
    • Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80073CF9: Carcassonne.
    • Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070490: Candy Crush Saga.
    • Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80073CF9: Candy Crush Saga.

    I've Googled this error and searched TenForums but found nothing to help. SFC /SCANNOW reports no errors, re-registering the Windows Store app does nothing, disabling BitDefender does nothing. Is any real help available, or do I have to file a scam report with PayPal since Microsoft is incapable of managing a simple software download?
