Windows 10: Flight simulator cannot be installed

Ok so my frustration level is so high that this forum is my last resort.
First, let me explain to you my current situation. I own the Xbox game pass for pc and installed flight simulator 2020 a while ago. The game worked fine but had a few issues, so I decided to reinstall it big mistake. When I tried to reinstall the game both on the xbox app and the microsoft store, I was greeted with the error code 0x803fb107 which means that one component of the bundle yes the microsoft store version of fs 2020 is composed by two elements isn't installed and that this is the reason why the game won't install. The thing is that the component in question, which is the "digital ownership" of the game also won't install because, you guessed it, in order to install it, you first need to install the main component the base game of the bundle - error: 0x80073d12.
So yeah: to install one component you first need to install the other. . . . which, well, is kind of impossible.

To save some time to the microsoft employee that will maybe respond to that, No, there aren't any residual files of the game on my computer, Yes windows is up to date, No, I don't have an active antivirus other than windows defender on my pc, Yes, I used the WSReset.exe app without success, Yes, I did reset the microsoft store, Yes, I did reinstall the xbox app and at last but not least NO, reinstalling windows isn't an option.

I hope that there will be someone actually able to help me in the support team given that I'm sincerly considering to get a crack of the game.

Oh and also, before releasing a ton of games on the game pass, it would be nice to fix the microsoft store, given that almost EVERY bad review of fs 2020 and there are a lot of those are from people that cannot install the game properly.

Microsoft Flight Simulator issue after Windows 10 Upgrade

I suggest you to completely uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator and check.

Refer the steps below to uninstall.

• Press “Windows key + X”, select Control panel.
• Open programs and features.
• In the list of installed programs, select Microsoft Flight Simulator, and then click
  Remove.

Note: If you have earlier versions of Flight Simulator in the list of installed programs, you will have to remove them in addition to Flight Simulator.



Reinstall the Flight Simulator.

Follow the steps below on how to install Microsoft flight simulator xin compatibility mode:

1. Download the Microsoft flight simulator xfrom the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the Microsoft flight simulator xinstall and then check the functionality.
