Windows 10: Flight Simulator mistake

Good morning,


Having last played Flight Simulator on Windows 95 as a teenager I became very excited when I saw the new version. So much so that I decided to do something I never do anymore and buy a game!


I checked my partner's laptop would have the required spec and went ahead and bought a digital copy the game. I was so excited I also bought a thrustmaster joystick.


Sadly I realised last night that my partner's laptop is not big enough to support the game. This was the one specification I had overlooked. Things certainly have moved on since I last played video games over 20 years ago - there's a lot to think about now!


I tried to ask for a refund but my understanding is this is not possible with a digital copy of the game. I am so annoyed with myself that I wasted such an amount of money - we are a low income household so I don't spend such money lightly. Sadly I wasn't educated enough in the world of video games to know I was buying something that wouldn't work.


My question is basically, as a refund looks impossible, is there anything I can do to a laptop to increase it's hard drive space to allow me to play this game.


I would be so grateful for any suggestions.

Microsoft Flight Simulator issue after Windows 10 Upgrade

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.



I suggest you to completely uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator and check.

Refer the steps below to uninstall.

• Press “Windows key + X”, select Control panel.
• Open programs and features.
• In the list of installed programs, select Microsoft Flight Simulator, and then click
  Remove.

Note: If you have earlier versions of Flight Simulator in the list of installed programs, you will have to remove them in addition to Flight Simulator.



Reinstall the Flight Simulator.
