Windows 10: fodhelper.exe running in "details" pane of task manager randomly?

Discus and support fodhelper.exe running in "details" pane of task manager randomly? in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; to my knowledge this is the "manage optional features" dialog yet I see it running by itself sometimes. does anyone else have this running in the...     fodhelper.exe running in "details" pane of task manager randomly?


    to my knowledge this is the "manage optional features" dialog yet I see it running by itself sometimes. does anyone else have this running in the "details" pane of task manager despite not having opened that dialog box?

    Task Manager not running


    I have added a new task to the ones already populated which I suppose were in Win7
    The new task or the present tasks are not running as there is no entry in the history or
    recently run file
    are there other steps necessary to get the new task manager to start up ?

    Setting the Preview pane to show or hide in File Explorer will apply to all folders. If you wish to hide the Preview pane in File Explorer, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

    If you are referring for preview pane in File explorer then follow the steps below.

    • Open File explorer; open any document or file or folder.
    • Click on View on the Quick access toolbar ribbon.
    • Click on Preview pane or Details pane.
    You may please provide your suggestions in the feedback app. It will be directly referred by our

    Follow the steps:

    • Go to Start, enter the phrase Windows Feedback and then select Windows Feedback.
