Windows 10: Folder search gives me results that I'm not looking for

When I do a search in a folder, I get results back that have nothing to do with what I searched for.





anyone know how to fix?


Edit: If I set "name:" without the quotes before a search I get what I'm looking for. How do I set that as default behavior?

"Search Bar" used to give an option to open a folder containing search results?

I'm not looking to sort by the filter of 'documents'. I'm looking to search WITHIN the results of a search. This doesn't help me, at all.

There used to be a "see all" button that allowed me to open up a windows explorer folder containing my search results, and I was able to search within it.

That's what I want. That's what I need.

 

Settings search gives "Search results aren't quite ready yet..."

I have six systems running Windows 10. Only one of them has the "Search results aren't quite ready...." flaw but it is devastating in the restrictions it puts on simply using Windows 10.

The fixes stated above do not work. The codes in fact do not execute and gave fairly clear error messages that imply that Windows 10 AS DELIVERED BY MICROSOFT cannot repair its own installation in general and cannot run sfc /scannow successfully.

THIS IS A DISGRACE.

I hope the developers of Windows 10 and Cortana realize the difficulties they

are causing all of us and feel continual shame at their own incompetence

 

WinKey+X -> control panel -> File explorer options -> Search -> uncheck "search in name and file content"
(the words may not be accurate, my Windows is not in english)

 

Didn't work, still getting wrong results.
