Windows 10: Folder thumbnails not shown in Windows 11

Hello,I recently upgraded from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro. I'm missing out on one of the features I really found useful in Windows 10 in Windows 11.In Windows 10, you could see the files .jpg etc. as a thumbnail on the folder. Like before opening the folder we could know what are the files inside it.But in Windows 11 the folder icon is just there and without opening the folder it's not possible to find out what's in the folder.I'm not talking about the video, photo thumbnails when folder is open. That's working fine.Anyone knows how to fix this? :Kindly let me know if you need more de

Windows Explorer crashes and thumbnails problem

Hi, I hope you can help me.
Windows Explorer is no longer showing thumbnails on files played by Windows Media Player. I've run cmd and regsvr32 shmedia.dll and regsvr32 shimgvw.dll. That seemed to solve the problem...but it created a different one. Now when I try to open a folder on an external hard drive it crashes. I read in an old 2008 post it was an avi file causing the problem and suggested the run cmd regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll. That solved the opening problem but recreated the thumbnail problem. Any help to achieve both functions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The latest Dev Channel Build brings back Folder icons with Multimedia Thumbnail previews:
