Windows 10: folders not opening

I have a brand new computer that i built about two weeks ago and installed windows 10. everything has worked as it should. However, on occasion certain apps will not open. It started with the settings app and this pc not opening. I would try to open and it would pop up in task bar and if i hovered mouse i could see all the screens i had tried to open but they stayed minimized. I would restart my computer and sometimes it would fix it but usually it just went away after a day or two. Now its been happening to file explorer and any folders. I cant get one single folder to open whether its my downloaded games folder or personal files folder they all just stay in task bar and i can see them minimized but cant open them. Im at my wits end.


With all the issues of have tried right clicking and maximizing, i have tried the ctrl+shift, i have executed the scannow command and found nothing, i have the most recent windows 10 and computer is fully up to date, i have downloaded all current drivers...


What do i need to do to fix this besides breaking my computer... i mean this thing is literally useless at this point.

Opening a Folder in VC++

I've recently started learning VC++ and it's coming along quite nicley, I've now been given a little task by my boss to add a button to an excisting Incident report program.

All the button needs to do is open a new explorer window and open the folder selected in the incident report program. There isn't a deadline for it, it's just to assist in my learning.

I'm not asking for anyone to do it for me, i just need a few suggestions on how to do this so i'm looking in the correct direction?

  Open file explorer, click on view and select options.
  
• 
  Double-click on options, in the general tab click on Open each folder in the same Window.

  Click apply and ok.
