    Font size changes when moving cursor


    I installed an update of WIndows a week ago and I had to modify a few things to keep folders and other things as I want.

    But a new problem is occurring regularly when I move my cursor (using a touch pad) across a window on the screen. Sometimes

    the size of the text in the window changes (on a google-chrome window magnification changes). How I prevent this from happening? I looked at the touch pad setting but cannot find anything that should change font sizes when just moving th cursor across a window.


    It is very irritating as I have to select the window and change the font size (or magnification) manually. Sometimes when the chrome browser window is magnified 500 times I cannot even access the small button to decrease the magnification)

    I would suggest you to follow the below steps to change the font size and check if it helps.


    • Type fonts on the search bar and select it.

    • Click on change font size from the left pane.

    • Make changes according.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the font size and check if it helps.

    • Go to settings and click on system.
    • Under display tab there's a slider on this page that you can use to change the size of text, apps and other items.

    Hi Ken,

    Thank you for writing your query in Microsoft Community.

    I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if you are able to change the font size.


    • open Kindle app

    • Hamburger icon on the top left

    • Then select settings

    • Click on options and check if you are able to find options for font settings
    You can try this short cut by pressing Ctrl button with scrolling your mouse to zoom the screen size.
