Windows 10: Font size within apps updates when I change the scale, but not the menus which are TINY

Hi everyone, So I'm having this issue with my new Windows 10 where the font size of menus is very small for my short-sighted self. I have tried the Display and Accessibility options to scale to 150% or increase the font size BUT those just change the text within the apps for example, pages content on Chrome, but not the menus which I am concerned with such as in File Explorer and the Chrome bookmarks bar. Font size tiny in Apps

Launch the app you want to increase the font size for.

Right click the app in the Taskbar

Above Pin to Taskbar

Right click the app name, click Properties

Click the Compatibility tab

Under Settings, click 'Change high DPI settings'

Check Use high DPI setting to fix scaling problems for this program instead of the one in settings.

Click in the list box

Choose I open this program.

Under High DPI Scaling Override

Check Override high DPI scaling behavior, Scaling performed by

Choose Application in the list box

Click OK

 

Internet Explorer 11 Menu font size

Hi Larry,

Follow these steps to change the font size in IE11:

• Click Start menu or press Windows key on your keyboard.
• Type and click Control Panel.
• Click Appearance and Personalization and under Display, click
  Make text other items larger or smaller.
• Under Change only the text size, choose the Title bars
  in the drop-down menu and the desired font size on the drop-down menu beside it.

Unable to Change Font/Icon size from Setting app in Windows 10

Windows 10 takes care of this issue by supporting per-display DPI scaling to address. By default, Windows 8.1 will choose the optimum DPI scaling value for each display based on the value
chosen for overall scaling in the control panel.

You can change Modern UI text size by following the steps provided below.

• Press Windows key
• Click on Settings.
• Click on System.
• Click on Display.
• Now change the font size according to your choice.

When I attempt to follow these directions, the slider bar to make the font larger is at the far left. I can drag it to the right but as soon as I drop it, it bounces back to the left and therefore does NOT change the font size.

Any suggestions?
