Hi,Can anyone tell me what this "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device" EXACTLY means? What does it do exactly? I don't understand the difference between turning it of or keeping it on.I am asking because i want to get rid of the pin sign in at Windows start up. However the remove button is greyed out and as far as I know it will only become usable again if I turn this option off.Regards,Martin

    :)

    Cannot sign in microsoft account.

    My device: Lumia 520. GDR2.
I cannot sign in my Microsoft account on my device. It didnt say any error but Microsoft account is not listed in Email and account list. When I click add button, it will show microsoft account option but after press sign in, it is still not shown in email
and account. Another problem is i cannot delete facebook account. Error code: 0x83cf1202. I have tried as suggested here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2475837/en-us#step0x83cf1202 but as my Microsoft account is not shown, I cannot do step 6. For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device :(

    Any suggestion?

Unknown devices on my Microsoft account

Hello Flemmingk, For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device :)

Could these other devices be from friends that you may have signed in to your Microsoft account on for something?

Either way, you can remove these devices.

Afterwards to be safe, I would recommend to change the password of your Microsoft account, and enable two-step verification if you haven't already.

Sign-in option with PIN (Windows Hello)

    Hi Sergei__________1,

    I'm Amr, an independent advisor.

If you use a Microsoft account to access Windows 11, the button to remove the PIN could appear greyed out.

The remove button could be greyed out if the passwordless option is enabled on the Windows 11 account or if the passwordless account is enabled on your Microsoft account.

Disable Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts

    Use these steps:

    Open Settings.

    Click on Accounts.

    Click the Sign-option tab.

Under the “Additional settings” section, turn off the “For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft account on this device” toggle switch.

You may need to restart the Settings app and the computer to apply the changes and enable the option to remove the PIN.

    Disable passwordless Microsoft account

    Kindly follow these steps:

    Open Settings.

    Click on Accounts.

    Click the Your info tab.

Under the “Related settings” section, click the Accounts option.

    Click the Security tab.

    Click on Advanced security options.

Under the “Additional security” section, turn off the Passwordless account option.

    Continue with the on-screen directions.

    Restart your computer.

After you complete the steps, the “PIN (Windows Hello)” setting will show the remove button on Windows 11.

I hope this is helpful. If you require any additional assistance, don't hesitate to respond to this.

    Best Regard

    Amr
